On Monday, November 19, 2012 AEDE welcome Gregory Howard, AEDE Postdoctoral Researcher, to present his research titled, “A Latent Class Analysis of Farmer Preferences Regarding Filter Strip Programs” as part of the AEDE Seminar Series.
Dairy farmers can insure against low income over feed margins with an insurance product, Livestock Gross Margin (LGM) insurance, offered through crop insurance agents and underwritten by the USDA Risk Management Agency.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – With debate over the looming “fiscal cliff” of automatic budget cuts and tax increases the focus of attention in Washington, an Ohio State University farm policy expert says it might not be all bad that farm bill discussions have been delayed.
Nicholas Rettig, an AEDE undergraduate student originally from Napoleon, Ohio who is in his junior year of study, recently sat down with us to talk about why he chose to study in AEDE’s Agribusiness and Applied Economics program, his experience to date, and what he hopes to do once he finishes his degree.
Professor Carl Zulauf, often cited as the Department’s, the College’s and the wider University’s resident farm policy expert, recently sat down to talk about his background, the history of the U.S. Farm Bill and his thoughts on its future.
