The Farm Income Enhancement Program is one of the largest programs in the Department supported by the Farm Income Enhancement Endowment.  There are opportunities to be involved in research projects and programmatic and outreach activities for the Farm Income Enhancement Program.  

The Farm Income Enhancement Program, chaired by Dr. Ani Katchova, is seeking to recruit graduate students to join our research team.  Please see the following information for prospective students interested in applying to the AEDE PhD program and seeking to be part of the Farm Income Enhancement Program:

Graduate Research Assistantship

Description:

A graduate research assistant position in Agribusiness in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University. 

The expectations are to conduct research on economic and financial issues in Agriculture or Agribusiness that contributes to publications and/or a dissertation.  Research will be on economic and financial topics applied to agriculture in the U.S.  Possible research topics include financial performance of farms and agribusinesses, structural changes in agriculture (consolidation/competition), agricultural markets and marketing, cooperative businesses, agricultural policy, land use and valuation, young and beginning farmers, credit institutions, supply chain management, local and regional foods, and many more.

In addition to research/dissertation expectations and based on your interests, opportunities exist for outreach activities with industry and stakeholders.

You will be associated with and contribute to programmatic needs of the Farm Income Enhancement Program: http://aede.osu.edu/research/farm-income-enhancement-program.

Qualifications:   

A Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University.
