Lei Xu

Lei Xu is a fifth-year Ph.D. Student in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University. Her research interests are food economics. She is currently researching on food waste reduction by exploring household elasticity of demand for food waste and households usage of frozen foods. She also has a research on the Farm To School (F2S) Programs, to evaluate the impact of F2S policy on food prices and demand.  Lei also did extension works at OSU to make the economic and policy analyses of how Ohio’s programs related to F2S activities operate and of relevant state and federal policies. Besides the research works, Lei has some years of teaching experiences since she was an undergraduate student.
