Dr. Hahn earned his BS degree from Ohio State in 1960; he earned his MS degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1963; and he earned his PhD degree from Cornell University in 1968. He teaches a course on agricultural cooperatives at AEDE, he also provides outreach support and technical assistance to new and emerging cooperatives through the Ohio Cooperative Development Center (OCDC) in Piketon, Ohio. Additionally, he serves as an outside director for Farm Credit Mid-America and he serves on the board of the Mid-America Cooperative Council.
