His dissertation is focused on estimating the effects of skilled immigration policies in developed countries. In his current projects, he studies the effect of granting citizenship to foreign-born scientists on their productivity and contributions to innovation in the United States. Crown also studies the labor market impact of the Temporary Work visa in Australia, and the effect of the Graduate Skilled visa program on innovation in Australia. Crown is on the job market in the 2018-2019 academic year and he is available for interviews at the 2019 ASSA/AEA meeting in Atlanta, GA.
