Alex Ryan

Alex is a current PhD student in the AEDE department at Ohio State University. Before attending OSU, Alex interned at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland in 2018 in the Supervision, Credit Risk, and Statistics department. After graduating from John Carroll University, Alex joined the Economic & Valuation Services team at KPMG Chicago. He assisted on transfer pricing, real estate valuation, M&A transactions, and economic services projects as a senior associate from 2019 – 2022. During his tenor at KPMG, Alex gained valuable knowledge on strategic business decision making and optimizations under various tax and regulatory regimens. As a specialist in financial transactions, Alex leverages his exposure to applied financial economics to study the financial impacts of climate change on real estate markets and climate-related financial stability risks.
