    At the NCCC-134 Conference on Applied Commodity Price Analysis, Forecasting, and Market Risk Management held April 16 and 17 in St. Louis, Missouri, Cameron Thraen and John Newton presented “Road Block to Risk Management - How Federal Milk Marketing Orders Create Excessive Basis Risk on Class 1 Milk,” and “Exploring Underlying Distributional Assumptions of Livestock Gross Margin Insurance for Dairy,” co-authored with Marin Bozic, Applied Economics, University of Minnesota.

  7. Voluntary Pollution Control (VPC) Workshop, May 20 and 21st at The Blackwell

    The Voluntary Pollution Control (VPC) Workshop will be held at The Ohio State University’s Blackwell Hotel on May 20 and 21, 2012. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a forum for businesses, local governments, researchers in environmental economics and environmental policy-related disciplines to assess current knowledge and debate the latest research on the determinants, effects, and effectiveness of VPC programs. Abdoul Sam of AEDE and Carmen Carrion-Flores of Binghamton University organized the event.

  8. Former AEDE graduate student promoted at Maryville College
