She brings her experience working with hundreds of small businesses into the classroom. And sometimes she even brings in the actual small business owners too.

Early on, he got involved in The Ohio State University chapter of MANRRS taking on a leadership role in the organization that welcomes people of all racial and ethnic groups in agricultural and related science careers. Working well with the team of officers, Ken generated new ideas and initiatives within the organization and represented Ohio State at many on and off-campus events.

  9. Two AEDE PhD students win Graduate School's 3MT competition

    The 3MT is an academic competition for PhD students and master’s students pursuing a master’s thesis, to describe their research within three minutes, to a general audience. A competition was recently held to select a finalist to represent OSU at the regional Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) competition at which national representatives will be selected.

    “The earth is a shared system with many interacting parts, so it isn't possible to consider any action to address sustainability in isolation," said Elena Irwin, distinguished professor of food, agricultural and environmental sciences in
    economics and sustainability and faculty director at Ohio State’s Sustainability Institute (SI).
