LACEEP sponsors short course by Elena Irwin in Panama City

Elena Irwin taught a three-day short course on “Spatial Models of Land Use Markets and Land Use Change” in Panama City, Panama. The course was sponsored by the Latin American and Caribbean Environmental Economics Program (LACEEP) and attended by graduate students and practitioners from nine different Latin American countries. LACEEP is a research capacity building organization that provides research grants in environmental and resource economics to Latin American and Caribbean researchers. The organization is co-directed by Jorge Maldonado, associate professor at Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia and Ph.D. graduate of AED Economics.
