Dr. Anna Parkman reappointed as Professor of Practice

On May 15, 2024, Dr. Anna Parkman was reappointed as full Professor of Practice in the department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (AEDE) and the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES).

Dr. Parkman was promoted to full Professor of Practice in May of 2023. In her seven years in AEDE she has been an inspiring classroom instructor and student internship coordinator. She also shares her mastery of teaching with the network of accomplished industry professionals she has worked to connect as lecturers for AEDE classes; this network enhances students’ learning and industry connections. Dr. Parkman has served as AEDE’s Undergraduate Program Leader for more than four years and led an important update and enhancement of the Agribusiness and Applied Economics curriculum.

AEDE Chair Amy Ando praises Dr. Parkman for her exceptional teaching and leadership. “Anna’s work on the new Agribusiness and Applied Economics curriculum ensures that our students are ready for their careers when they walk out our doors, but also have foundational conceptual and technical skills that will empower them to adapt to changing conditions and move in a wide range of professional directions as their lives evolve.”
