Last week at the Southern Regional Science Association Conference in Memphis, Tennessee, two AEDE graduate students and one post-doc student working with Professor Mark Partridge won research awards.
Daniel Crown & Rodrigo Perez Silva co-won the Barry M. Moriarty graduate student paper competition for their papers:
Daniel Crown: "Naturalization and the Productivity of Foreign-Born Doctorates" and Rodrigo Perez Silva: "Knowledge Spillovers and Wage Inequality: The Side Effect of the Concentration of Highly Educated Workers in U.S. Metro Areas."
Alexandra Tsvetkova's won the William H. Miernyk Research Excellence Medal for her paper: "Self-employment effects on regional growth: A bigger bang for a buck?" Alexandra Tsvetkova, Mark Partridge, Michael Betz.
