Beginning in January 2014, AEDE’s undergraduate and graduate students will be able to visit one location to get support for all of their academic needs.
The AEDE Student Service Center, the first of its kind for the department, will be housed in Suite 249 of the Agricultural Administration building and will service enrolled and prospective students. The Center will be staffed by AEDE’s academic program representatives and will be open Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Services offered at the Student Service Center will include academic support, administrative support, and occasional workshops. Staff will be available to help students navigate their program’s curriculum, schedule classes, access and complete mandatory forms, access campus resources, declare majors and minors, as well as obtain general information about AEDE’s programs.
Staff working in the Center may direct students to contact their faculty advisor for in-depth program guidance, such as research advice, career counseling, internship guidance, and to obtain help in choosing courses for specialized projects. However, the Center will serve as the first point of contact for all AEDE students.
“AEDE is committed to providing the highest quality undergraduate and graduate experience to the growing number of students who seek degrees from our department. The Student Service Center will provide AEDE undergraduate and graduate students with a one-stop shop for all of their academic support needs,” noted Professor Tim Haab, Department Chair.
If you would like to meet with a Student Service Center representative to discuss your academic needs, students and prospective students can begin to use the Center’s online information request forms.
