Columbus, OH – Ohio State’s 2025 Agricultural Outlook and Policy Conference, featuring a variety of experts discussing their forecasts in agricultural, food, and energy economics, is scheduled for November 18 at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center. In this event, organized by the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (AEDE), each expert will share key insights into current economic issues and conditions and then respond to questions from the audience. The in-person conference provides a vital opportunity for information exchange and networking between stakeholders and research experts in Ohio’s land-grant system,
This year’s topics include outlooks on energy, the labor market, food, livestock, renewable fuels, the grain market, and trade policy. Presenters include AEDE faculty members Brent Sohngen, Margaret Jodlowski, Jared Grant, Chen-Ti Chen, Gabe Lade, Ian Sheldon and Seungki Lee. Barry Ward, a Leader in OSU Extension, will share insights on farm margins, and Ben Ayers, Senior Economist with Nationwide, will provide a macroeconomic outlook. Amy Ando, Chair of AEDE, will moderate.
The conference, hosted by AEDE, is a premier annual forum related to Ohio’s agricultural and food industry, covering issues important to producers, agribusinesses, and elected officials.
