While most Ohioans have access to broadband internet, nearly 1 million still lack access to the fast, reliable broadband services in their homes, says analysts with the C. William Swank Program in Rural-Urban Policy at The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES).
PhD student Sydney Schreiner was a finalist in the North American Regional Science Council's (NARSC) twentieth-annual Benjamin H. Stevens Graduate Fellowship in Regional Science. Her paper, (top "Gentrification and Schools” came in at number three out of twenty-four papers). Schreiner will receive special recognition at the NARSC's 20th Annual Fall Conference.
