Probability; random variables; sampling distributions; limit theorems; point and interval estimation; statistical hypothesis testing; multiple regression analysis in the linear model including finite-sample and asymptotic statistical properties. Prereq: 6700, 6701 (640), or Stat 5201 (521); or equiv with permission of economics director of grad studies. Not open to students with credit for 740, 741, and 742.
