AEDECON 8206
This course focuses on three fundamental agricultural inputs: land, labor, and risk. Each has 1) papers that provide the theoretical foundations of these markets and 2) papers that empirically evaluate how they function. In addition, we will spend at least one class per input discussing papers that describe and test the effectiveness of various government interventions in these markets. The goal is to provide the theoretical foundations and the empirical applications that underlie a working knowledge of how advanced-economy agriculture functions.
