Application process

We encourage prospective students to apply to Ohio State by requesting direct entry into AEDE's Agribusiness and Applied Economics major or the Environment, Economy, Development, and Sustainability major that we jointly offer with the School of Environment and Natural Resources. You can do this by noting on the application that you are interested in studying at the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) and that you'd like to major in AAE or EEDS. This will also make you eligible to compete for scholarships offered by CFAES and allow us to keep in touch with you regarding other special opportunities. All first-year applicants requesting entry to the above majors are considered within a competitive admissions process for the Columbus campus.

Are you interested in visiting us? CFAES offers Experience Ohio State for a Day visits and we highly encourage prospective students to register.

We also welcome transfer students from other universities, those who entered Ohio State as undecided/exploration, those who entered Ohio State declared in another program of study, those who entered Ohio State through one of our regional campuses or those who entered Ohio State through the Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) based in Wooster, Ohio.
