Application Process
Recommended admissions criteria
- Minimum 3.1 undergraduate G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale
- Undergraduate-level coursework in intermediate microeconomics, calculus and statistics
The above criteria is only recommended in addition to the minimum standards required by Ohio State Graduate and Professional Admissions.
Below are the minimum English language testing requirements for international applicants:
- TOEFL
- 19 on each section of the paper-based TOEFL
- 79 on the TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Home Edition
- 550 on the TOEFL ITP for students in the American Language Program
- IELTS
- 7.0 on the IELTS Academic test or IELTS Indicator (6.5 for Moritz College of Law applicants)
- Duolingo
- 120 or higher

Required Documents
- Statement of purposes explaining why applicant wants to be in the MAE program
- Resume/CV
- Three recommendations (applicant provides contact information, and Ohio State contacts recommendors directly)
- Transcript(s) from all institutions where applicant has earned college credit
- English language testing required for international applicants
