The US Ethanol Sector: An Infant Industry?

Assesses the arguments for infant-industry protection and whether they can be applied to the US ethanol sector. The overall conclusion is that corn-based ethanol should no longer receive such protection, especially as there is no available evidence for dynamic external learning economies in this industry.
