The Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University are currently seeking a tenure-track assistant professor with teaching and research responsibilities in agribusiness. Applicants with interests in agricultural markets and marketing, finance, supply and demand analysis, industrial organization, international trade or agricultural and food policy, that complement a primary interest in agribusiness are encouraged to apply.
The appointee will have an academic year (9 month) appointment in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics with competitive salary and benefits package and is expected to develop and maintain a world-class research program in their field of inquiry, and teach the equivalent of three classes in our undergraduate, masters, and/or PhD programs.
The Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics (aede.osu.edu) is a premier department of applied economics that values excellence in research, teaching and outreach to fulfill our departmental commitment to the land-grant mission of The Ohio State University. AEDE’s world-class faculty currently serves 80 PhD students, 20 M.S. students and 500 undergraduate majors in four programs: A top-rated Ph.D. degree with fields in Environmental, Development and Regional Economics; an M.S. degree; a B.S. major in Agribusiness and Applied Economics; and in partnership with the School of Environmental and Natural Resources, a rapidly growing B.S. major in Environment, Economy, Development, and Sustainability.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a PhD in agribusiness, business, agricultural economics, applied economics, economics, or related field, or expect to complete all degree requirements before August 1, 2016.
