    Professor Scott Taylor will present “Pollution and Trade in a Small Open Melitz Economy” as part of the AEDE Applied Economics Spring Seminar Series. The seminar will be held in room 250A of the Agricultural Administration Building from 10:30am-12:00pm. Light refreshments will be served prior to the seminar.  Professor Scott is Professor and Canada Research Chair in International, Energy and Environmental Economics at the University of Calgary, Alberta.

    Christopher Blattman, Professor in the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, will present "The effects of state presence on urban crime and state legitimacy: Experimental evidence from policing and municipal services in Bogotá" on Tuesday, December 6 from 1:30-3:30pm in room 437, Arps Hall. This seminar is co-hosted by the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics, the Department of Economics, and the Department of Political Science.

    Craig Gundersen, Soybean Industry Endowed Professor in Agricultural Strategy in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois, will present "Reconstructing SNAP to More Effectively Alleviate Food Insecurity in the U.S." on Friday, December 2 from 1:00-2:30pm in Room 241, Campbell Hall. This seminar if co-hosted by the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and the Department of Consumer Sciences in the College of Education and Human Ecology.

His presentation will focus on "Wealth of Econosystems". The seminar is co-sponsored by OSU Sustainable and Resilient Economy (SRE) Discovery Themes.
