McCormick Professor of Agricultural Marketing and Policy

The Francis B. McCormick Professorship was established in 1982 by the late Francis B. McCormick, former Professor and Associate Chair of the department. The endowment supports a distinguished professor in agricultural marketing and policy. Professor Scott Irwin was named as the first recipient, effective October 1, 1996.  Professor Carl Zulauf was named the second recipient, effective July 1997.

Dr. McCormick was deeply interested in the well being of undergraduate students. He was a strong proponent of undergraduates pursuing advance degrees. Finally, he was deeply committed to enhancing the Department's reputation through improving the quality of its programs. Keeping this in mind, Dr. Zulauf's goals as the McCormick Professor are to stimulate departmental excellence in teaching, conduct research on marketing and policy, encourage undergraduates to become involved in research, and to encourage our undergraduates to consider graduate school.
