RMA - Central Business Districts: Measures of SuccessCommunities throughout the Great Lakes States are struggling to maintain a vital economic mix in their central business districts. Recognizing that business clusters can be a key ingredient for improving local economic development, many communities would like to achieve the ‘right mix’ of downtown businesses that can attract people and create a vibrant central business district, but are unsure of what actions, policies and organizations can help them achieve these goals. The purpose of the Central Business Districts project is to identify proven strategies for strengthening local retail and service business development that can be referenced and potentially implemented by Ohio communities. Funding for this project was provided by OSU CARES, OSU Extension within Van Wert County and the AEDE Department. |
