Dr. Lines is currently serving as Administrator of the USDA Marketing Assistance Project in Armenia (http: www.usda.am). The project provides technical, financial and marketing assistance to emerging private agribusiness firms that create markets for and encourage production of improved farm products. When at Ohio State, his research interests relate to domestic and international farm policy, and commodity and economic outlook. His extension outreach focus has him speaking extensively throughout the region on outlook topics. Throughout a long career at Ohio State, Lines has conducted research on most major Ohio commodities. Internationally, Lines developed a new Ukrainian American Extension Project for USDA, resulting in a major two-year USAID-funded project. His work in forming two input supply cooperatives for newly privatized Ukrainian farmers and household plot producers brought a USAID and USDA request to join an agricultural development team in Turkmenistan. Lines has also developed an economics education program in Eastern Europe and collaborated on other department international efforts. He has received state and national awards for his international extension work. Lines served on the North Central Public Policy Extension Education Committee and the College 's Land-Use Planning Committee.
