Biographical Info

Primary interests are in farm and agribusiness management and human resource management in family businesses. Dr. Erven's programs focus on teaching students and extension and outreach audiences the planning, organizing, staffing and leading functions of management to farm managers through the ManagementExcel program; and issues related to human resource management, transferring the family business to the next generation and farm labor laws and regulations. Erven is the department's Extension Program Leader. Erven is the department's Extension Program Leader. He also chairs a review panel as part of the OSU Committee for Evaluation of Central Administrators and serves on the University Committee on Academic Affairs.
