Applied Econometrics, Panel Data Econometrics, Development Economics and Environmental Economics (Faculty Advisor: Tim Haab)
Carolina Castilla’s reseach interests focus on applied econometrics, development and environmental economics. Specifically, she evaluates the performance of standard heteroskedasticity tests in fixed-effects one-way error component models using Monte Carlo simulations. Her interests in development relate to the study of world poverty and inequality trends. She was the teaching assistant of the applied econometrics Ph.D. level class (AEDE 801) taught by Dr. Tim Haab and will be teaching statistics at an undergraduate level next Fall. Starting Summer 2008 she will be working with Dr. Tim Haab on the project “A Multiscale Statistical Framework for Assessing the Biocomplexity of Materials Use –The Case of Transportation Fuels”. | ||||||
