With the completion of the 2015-2016 academic year, AEDE faculty member Eugene Jones retired from Ohio State. Jones had been a faculty member in the department since 1984.
The Ohio State Agribusiness Club held its annual year-end banquet on April 19th to recognize outstanding faculty and students affiliated with the Club.
Each summer one of the most highly anticipated events for AEDE’s faculty and students takes place: the annual meeting of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA). AAEA is the premier professional organization for agricultural and applied economists working in the U.S.
Beginning in Autumn 2014, AEDE will offer its Agribusiness and Applied Economics undergrad students a new course focused on engaging with agribusinesses to solve real-world problems. The course, “AED Economics 4193: Agribusiness Project Experience”, will be taught jointly by Dr. Eugene Jones and Dr. Brian Roe.
Eugene Jones, winner of the individual 2011 Bill Williams Diversity Award, was recognized at the CFAES Recognition Banquet held May 19th at the Ohio Union. This award recognizes individuals and groups who have contributed to diversity and inclusion efforts within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
